How many hats do you wear?

I know, I know. You can only wear one literal hat on your head at a time. Maybe two if your a hipster.

But I'm talking about the ones that get the job done. The hats that reflect your skillset in any given situation you may get yourself into or come across.

Why is it that when you work for someone else, you're expected to multi-task and be good at it? Does doing ten things partially versus one thing completely make you more effective and less accomplished?

If you think of hats as roles and you are the highly responsible type getting mass amounts of work done, then you probably wear a lot of different hats throughout the day and don't even think twice about it.
