This is how I did it.
You want to get out of your timeshare? Just stop paying all payments and assessments. Then they (either the servicer/trustee) will contact you and you tell them you want out. Then they will send you a packet of paperwork to sign before a notary and sent back. You will forfeit all the money you paid into it. It's called walking away. And that's the ugly truth.
I lost $7K plus all assessments paid over years. I had a notary friend who did the notary for me. And then I was out.
